Slotting And Unslotting

A slotted product is a product that is permanently associated to a location. When the quantity in the bin reaches zero, the association between the product and the location is still maintained. This is typically used if you want to replenish the location with the same product.

In Coreflex, a product becomes slotted to a location if it has a Location type with the Random Storage flag set to No.

To show slotted products; go to the Reports menu, choose Coreflex Reports and choose Inventory Slotting.

Note:

• If you want to delete a slotted product, you have to unslot it first.
• Products can not be unslotted if there are allocations against it and it has inventory in the bin. Inventory should be at 0 quantity.
• Inventory can not be applied using the Import - Apply inventory if a product is slotted.

How To Unslot A Product?

• Go to the Inventory Control tab and then open the Inventory Totals screen. Query the product, select the bin in the bottom window and click the Bin Details button. Then on the Bin screen, select the product and click the Unslot Product button.
• Another way of unslotting the product would be going to the Set-up menu, click Maintenance and choose Unslot product on the drop down icon.
