SALES ORDERS – ALLOCATE ORDERS – SINGLE ORDER SCREEN

Overview

• This screen allows the Allocation or Un-Allocation of a single order.  You can also Print Pick Sheets from this screen.
• You may view the inventory for all of the items on the using the Inventory Totals screen.
• Enter the order number in the text field and select "On Order #" from the second drop down (normally set to Contains) and click the search button. All of the Products for the order will be displayed and the inventory levels shown.
• Allocation Issues
  • If the Area Category is set in the Order Item (this is displayed on the Order Entry Edit Select Products Screen or set in the Standard Import) it must match the Category field in the Area in the Locations screen.

  
  

Fields

• Query Drop Down and Query Field.  
  • The drop down at the top of the screen allows you to search for Orders in various statuses.  For some of the queries, a value in the Query Field (the field to the right of the drop down) will be required.  After making a selection from the drop-down and entering a value in the field (if necessary), click the Search button and a list of Orders meeting the criteria will be displayed.   Double click on the one of the Orders and will be brought up on the screen for editing or review.
• Order.  
  • Enter an order # in this field and press the enter key to display the order information on the screen.
• The remaining fields are Read Only.  For an explanation, see the Order Entry screen documentation.

Buttons.

• Search. 
  • Searches the Orders using the Query Drop-Down and Query Field at the top of the screen.  Double click on an Order in the resulting list to review or edit it on this screen.
• More. 
  • Opens the Order Data screen which allows entry of more user defined fields and Shipping Method.
• Allocate Inventory. 
  • Allocates Inventory based on the settings in the Product Master.
    • Sub-Items will be created beneath the Original items indicating the quantity and location to be picked.  An item may have multiple Sub-Items if the item will be picked from multiple locations.  The status of the sub-items will be set to Allocated.
    • The Allocated quantity for the product in that location will be increased so that other orders cannot use the inventory allocated to this order.  The Allocated quantities can be displayed on the Inventory Totals Screen.
    • The Order Status will go to Allocated.
• Un-Allocate. 
  • Removes the all allocations for the order.  All Sub-items will be removed.  The Allocated Quantities in inventory will be reduced for the product.  The Order Status will return to Awaiting Allocation.
• Export Labels. 
  • Creates an export file with one line per carton on the order.  The export file is created based on the System Settings Exports: Shipping Label Export File Path and Exports: Shipping Label Export File Name.
• Print Pick Sheet. 
  • Prints the pick sheet which lists the sub-items to be picked and includes the productid, description, and quantity to be picked.
    • The order status will be changed to In Picking.
    • There are several System Settings which control the printing of the Pick Sheet.
• Re-Print Pick Sheet. 
  • Re-Prints the pick sheet using the same settings as the Print Pick Sheet Button.  This will not change the Order status.
• Update Comment. 
  • Allows editing of the comment for the Order.
• View Details. 
  • Opens the View Details Screen.
