Update 22 Init 11

This screen allows pallets to be created (pre-received) prior to the actual pallet receipt. Many of the prompts on this screen can be changed using System Settings. Refer the the document on How to Setup Pallet Prompts for more information on customizing the Pallet Fields.

Fields

• Account
  • Account # the pallet is being received for.
• Vendor #
  • Additional information for Pallet.
• Inbound Carrier
  • Shipping Method used to ship the pallet to the Warehouse.
  • By default, this field gets set in the Shipping method field in Product History when the pallet is received.
• Size
  • Additional information for Pallet.
• Ref
  • The Reference Number for the Pallet Receipt.
  • By default, this field gets set in the Refno field in Product History when the pallet is received.
• Ship Instructions
  • Additional information for Pallet.
• Productid
  • Productid being received on the Pallet.
  • The Cube, Weight, and PCS fields will be updated from fields in the Product Master provided the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Populate Pre-Receipt Screen from Product is set to Yes. The PCS field is set from the product master's Pallet Qty.
  • Ad Additional field can be mapped from the Product Master using the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Populate Pre-Receipt Screen from Product Map 1 Product Field and System Setting: Pallet Tracking Populate Pre-Receipt Screen from Pallet Map 1 Palet Field. The data in the product field selected will be set in the pallet Field Selected.
• Weight
  • Total Weight of the Pallet
• PCS
  • Quantity of items for the Productid on the Pallet.
  • If Recalc Cube and Weight is checked, the Weight and Cube of the Pallet will be recalculated after this field is changed and another field is clicked on.
• Cube
  • Total Cube (volume) of the Pallet.
• Pallet ID
  • Alternate ID number for Pallet.
  • Must be unique in the system.
  • If left blank, Defaults to the pallet # when the pallet is created.
• Lot
  • Customer Lot
• EXP Date
  • Product Expiration Date. Un-Check None to enter a date in this field. If no Expiration Date is used, leave None checked.
• Pallet Field 8
  • User Defined Pallet Field.
• Pallet Field 9
  • User Defined Pallet Field.
  • This field is used most often to hold the Physical Pallet ID Field. If multiple products are received on a single pallet, a pallet record is made for each product. All the pallet records on the Physcial Pallet then need to have the same number assigned in their Physcial pallet ID Field.
  • Use the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Physical Pallet Field to select the field for the Physical Pallet ID.
• Description
  • Description of Product on Pallet.
  • This automatically gets set to the description from the Product Master when the productid is selected.
• Hold Code
  • This field is set to indicate a Hold Code for the pallet.
  • Hold Code Field is populated by values entered on the Setup Hold Codes Screen.
  • If this field is not blank the pallet will be placed in a status of on HOLD when it is received.
  • Whether or not this field is actually used for the Hold Code is set in the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Pallet Hold Code Field
• Location
  • Location where the Pallet will be received. If Auto Add Shelf is checked when the Pallet is created, the Shelf will automatically be added if it does not exist.
• Pallets
  • If Enter Pcs is not checked, this field holds the number of Pallets to be created using the information given.
  • If Enter Pcs is checked, the field represents the total units (not Pallets) being received. The number in the PCS field will be divided into this total units and the number of pallets required will be determined.
  • For example
    • If the Pallet PCs is set to 50 and the Total Pcs is 240, 4 Pallets of 50 and 1 Pallet of 40 will be created when create pallets is clicked.
• Shipment Pallets
  • The total number of Pallets on the Inbound Shipment.
  • Required only when a Pallet # X of Y needs to printed on the pallet label.

Buttons

• Create Pallet
  • Creates the Pallets per the settings in the Fields above.
  • When the pallets are created, they appear in the list on the right. They will remain in that list until they are received.
• Next Buttons
  • The three next buttons can be configured to supply unique numbers to various fields.
  • For information on setting these up, refer to the How to Setup Pallet Prompts document.
• Show
  • Displays the highlighted Pallet's information in the list on the fields on the left side of the screen.
• Update
  • Opens the Update Pallet Dialog which allows the highlighted Pallets information
• Delete
  • Deletes the highlighted pallets in the list.
• Refresh
  • Refreshes the Pallet List.
• Print Label
  • Print Labels for the highlighted Pallets using the Format selected in the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Pallet Label Print Format.
  • The Labels can be printed on an Avery sheet using the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Pallet Label Sheet settings.
• Receive
  • Received the highlighted Pallets just like the Receive button on the Pallet Tracking Receive Screen.
  • It not recommended to use this pre-receieve screen to receive pallets as more control is afforded on the Receive Screen.
• Print List
  • Prints the Pallets highlighted in the Pre-Receive Pallets List in the Format selected in the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Pallet List Print Format.
  • Formats include breakout by Productid and breakout by Physical Palletid as well as straight list.
  • An user defined field may be printed on the list using the System Setting: Pallet Tracking Pallet List Extra Field and Pallet List Extra Field Prompt.

Errors and Warning

• Invalid Entry: Pallets Field must be a Non-Zero Integer
  • When the Create Pallets Button is clicked, the Pallets field must be valued with a non-zero integer.
  • This error can pop-up when pasting from Excel or other programs that may insert invalid characters which are not always visible on the screen.
