This screen creates and maintains Inventory Logs. Logs can be create from either the current on hand totals from History records.
Fields
Log As Date and Through Date
The Log As Date is used as the Log Date when Log Current Inventory is Clicked.
When Logging from History, Logs for a range of dates may be created by checking through and selecting an end Date. This has no effect on the Log Current Inventory button.
Account (Create Inventory Logs)
Selects an Account to create the Log for or ALL may be selected.
Log Comment (Create Inventory Logs)
Comment to be included with Inventory Log,
Include Products with no Inventory
if this is checked, products with no inventory are included in the log with a quantity of 0. Otherwise, those products are not listed.
Inventory Close Date
This is used only when logging from history. This is the farthest date back the Log from History will search for History records for a Product.
When this is set, the On Hand quantities for that date are calculated from prior history and used as the starting point when logging from history.
View Logs Start and Stop Dates
Determines which logs to display based on their dates in the View Logs list.
Show Account
When checked the logs listed will be broken out by account. Also the Account drop down will be enabled allowing the filtering of the list by account.
Account (View Logs)
This is enabled when Show Account is checked. Allows for the filtering of the View Logs list by Account.
Log Comment (Create Inventory Logs)
Allows the Comment for the highlighted inventory log to be Updated by editting this field and clicking the Update Button.
Buttons
Log Current Inventory
Uses the current inventory levels to generate a log of the inventory.
The Next Log ID is assigned.
The Log ID Date is set to the Log As Date.
If a log exists for that date, log records for any accounts being logged in the new log will be marked as removed.
Log From History
Only enabled if the User has a Function of CLOSEDATE. See Setup Users Screen.
Uses inventory history to create an inventory log for the Log as Date.
The Next Log ID is assigned.
If through is checked and a Through date is entered, Logs will be created for each date in the range between the Log as Date and the Through Date.
History starts with the Inventory Close Date using the inventory levels logged when the Close date was set.
There are 2 modes for logging from history.
The second mode is available only with
Feature Pallet Tracking when the Account Preference Pallet: Pallet Account is set to Yes.
The first mode creates totals per product and receive date.
