QUICK START – WMS

 

 

NOTE:  WMS Customers using the Pallet Tracking module should use the Quick Start – Pallet Tracking Document.

   

Overview:

 

Following are the high level steps recommended to integrate your Coreflex WMS into your operation and get your inventory setup in Coreflex.  Details for each step follow.

 

 

1)      Understand the Startup Process: (back to top)

 

There are seven high level tasks in a Coreflex Private Warehouse System startup.  These tasks may be performed by a Customer’s in-house staff or with assistance from Coreflex staff.  The tasks are:

 

 

Please review the Coreflex WMS Customer Startup Guidelines to understand the standard process recommended by Coreflex for successfully transitioning your company and Accounts onto Coreflex.  It contains worksheets that will help determine how to set up your Accounts and Billing.

 

2)      Set up Customers (back to top)

 

This step gets the critical customer information setup.

 

a)      Set up Main Customer information:

 

i)        Go to the Setup menu and select Customers. 

ii)       Click the Add button to add a Customer. 

iii)     Enter a Customer #, Shipping Method, and Terms.  If using QuickBooks, these should match the Customer Name, a Ship Via, and Terms in QuickBooks Respectively. 

iv)     Click OK to close the screen.

v)      Refer to the Add and Update Customer Screen documentation for details

 

b)      Assign bill to and ship to addresses to the customer.

 

i)        Go to the Setup menu and select Customers. 

ii)       Select the account in the top window.

iii)     Click Add in the bottom window.

iv)     Select an Address Type and fill in the information on the Add Address Screen.

 

3)      Build Product master: (back to top)

 

The quickest way to load in your product definitions to the Product Master is to create an Excel Spreadsheet with the necessary information.  This section reviews the steps for creating the spreadsheet and loading into the Coreflex Product Master.

 

See the FAQ “Product Master Load” for detailed instructions on creating, importing, and applying a product file into Coreflex.  Following are high level instructions.

 

a)      Create your product load file.

i)        Start with the WMS Product Import.csv file.

 

b)      Import the product load file.

i)        Go to the Import menu and select Products.

ii)       Click Import Products.

 

c)       Apply the products.

i)        Go to Import menu and select Apply Products.

ii)       Highlight the products and click Apply.

 

4)      Setup locations: (back to top)

 

The quickest way to load in your warehouse locations is to create an Excel Spreadsheet with the necessary information.  This section reviews the steps for creating the spreadsheet and loading the locations into Coreflex.

 

See the FAQ “Bin Location Load” for detailed instructions on creating, importing, and applying a bin location file into Coreflex.  Following are high level instructions.

 

a)      Create your bin location load file.

i)        Start with the WMS Location Import.csv file.

 

b)      Import the bin location load file.

i)        Go to the Import menu and select Locations.

ii)       Click Import Locations.

 

c)       Apply the bin locations.

i)        Go to Import menu and select Apply Location.

ii)       Highlight the locations and click Apply.

 

5)      Load Inventory: (back to top)

 

The quickest way to load in your existing Inventory is to create an Excel Spreadsheet with the necessary information.  This section reviews the steps for creating the spreadsheet and loading the Inventory into Coreflex.

a)      Create your case inventory load file.

i)        Start with the WMS Inventory Import.csv file.

 

b)      Import the case inventory load file.

i)        Go to the Import menu and select Inventory.

ii)       Click Import Inventory.

 

c)       Apply the Inventory.

i)        Go to Import menu and select Apply Inventory.

ii)       Highlight the inventory and click Apply.
