Coreflex Patch and Update Instructions

Before beginning installation, please consult the “Coreflex Upgrade Preparation Guidelines” document.

Coreflex Support will send an email with a link to the Patch or Update that is to be installed.
Download the link and save it on a Network Drive that is accessible from all PCs.

Coreflex strongly recommends that you backup you database before installing any updates.  (Coreflex is not responsible for any lost or damaged data.)

Install the patch or update on each PC.

Exit Coreflex on the PC that you are installing on.

Double click on the Patch or Update file and follow the simple instructions that appear when the Patch or Update is run.

After the Coreflex screen goes away, updating Coreflex is complete.

If an update is being installed (not a patch), Confirm the version # by doing the following:

Run Coreflex and go to the File Menu and select About.  The Version number appears just above the list on the right side of the screen.

This lists the Update number and the Init number (if one exists). For example: PWH 3.0.0 Update 19 Init 21.

This update # and Init # should match the Update and Init in the Update File.

Install the Patch or Update on every PC running Coreflex.

Upgrade the Database.

NOTE: The Upgrade Database step only needs to be run one time for each database you have no matter how many PCs are patched or updated. For example if you have a CFXWMS database and a CFXSample database run the Upgrade Database on both databases.

Confirm the database you are connected to by locating the database name in the application title bar. The database will eb in parenthesis. For example (CFXWMS). If you want to change the database use the File menu and the Change Database option.

After you are connected to the database you want to upgrade, go to the Setup Menu and select Upgrade Database.

Click on the Upgrade Database button.  This will add any new fields or tables required to the database and may take several minutes.

The upgrade is complete when the Upgrade Database button un-greys.  You may see entries in the list with a status of "successful".  Notify Coreflex of any entries with a status of "Failed" by e-mailing customer support at: customersupport@coreflexoffice.com
